Matthew Castleman is making his second appearance with Adirondack Shakespeare Company in The Kingship Cycle. He has previously played Claudio in Measure for Measure and Bassanio in The Merchant of Venice with the company. Other New York roles include Octavius in Man and Superman, Lussurioso in The Revenger’s Tragedy, Ben in Wincing at the Light, and the title role in Baal. He has been a student of medieval European martial arts for some years, studying the German tradition, which lends his stage fights a thorough backing in authentic combat.
